Care and feeding of Kraton handles?

Hi, All:

Question re: the rubber kraton handle on the SOG Pentagon and others...is there a good way to care for it? Armor-all? Or just leave it be?

I just don't want the handle rubbr to degrade if it comes in contact with chemicals, oils, degreasers, or the like.

Anybody have any problems with the rubber handles?

I've never heard a specific answer to this question. If you know it comes in contact with something that will degrade the Kraton, I'd quickly wrinse it off.

It it ever does degrade, SOG can refit many Kraton-handled knives.

I did a search for rubber handles and Kraton, and found out that SOG does replace them if necessary. Thats cool.

I like the grippyness of the handle. That and the handle ergos on the Pentagon make me quite comfortable with there being no guard to speak of.

Hi Keith, the Kraton handle on my Mini Pentagon has been holding up great. Don't think you will have any problems with yours. But yeah, SOG will take care of you if need be.

A regular cleaning of the handle in warm soapy water is always good to do after use.

So, what's going to be your next SOG?
