Hey all,
After seeing Garageboy's totally cool Sizzle, I had to run out and buy the full sized version, AKA the Heat.

Now, I put a drop of mineral oil on the pivot and it seemed to spit it out all over the place everytime I opened it. The assisted action also seemed to operate with a little less "umph" with the oil. I washed it out with detergent and water and then blew out any residue with compressed air and not it's back to normal.

Now, how easy is disassembly and re-assembly? And, should I use some sort of lubricant?

If it's anything like the Dominator, it'll be pretty simple. It looks like it has the same screw-through construction as the Dominator, so all you have to do is make sure you get the stop pin and ROBO spring back in place properly. I don't use Militec-1, but I've heard it's really good. I personally use Tuf-Glide - after 3 years, I still haven't finished my original bottle. Thin machine oil (like 3-in-1) is OK too. If it does in fact disassemble like the Dominator, be careful of the clip screws - it's way too easy to strip the heads out on those.

yep. after a drop of Militec on the pivot point, mine's flippin' and shootin' all over the place. it's even "clackier" now.

abe m.
