I received a David King distressed leather messenger bag a couple months ago as a birthday present. It's a rather nice bag, and holds quite a bit for me, but I don't really know much about caring for leather bags, especially ones made from distressed leather. Anyone have any tips or product recommendations for distressed leather bags?

It is distressed leather. It is supposed to get scuffed up so they pre-scuff it for that "vintage" look. Mink oil is good if it will be exposed to rain and snow. Once untreated leather has been soaked and dried a few times it will start to dry rot.

I'll give mink oil a shot. It will definitely see some weather, and rotting out is one of the things that was worrying me.

I use Lexol leather conditioner on all my leather goods. I use it on my boots and never have to fear about getting them wet.
