Does anyone know if it would be a good idea to put a little armour all on Kraton handles from time to time to preserve them? Good idea or bad idea?

i have had a CS braveheart for a few years, it has seen a bit of carry and i never have touched the handle with anything, it still looks brand new except for some wear caused by a lanyard. However, i also have another older CS knife i traded for. the kraton is still great, but smells of tobacco smoke slightly. i would be cautious of putting anything to smelly on it.. i can't get the scent out no matter what i do.

As a teenager I decided it would be a good idea to Armor-All my vinyl motorcycle seat and rubber footpegs. I soon discovered the error of this decision. I don't think applying a substance that will make a rubber knife handle extremely slippery is a good idea. Just my .02.

PS I suppose if they are living in a safe it would be OK, but if they are used, no.
