I use my Kershaw Leek quite frequently for kitchen duty. When done I clean it like any other utensil, soap and water and dry it off. Occasionaly I do oil it but I am concerned as to whether or not I am doing damage to the torsion spring by using it like this. Any suggestions?

I would think that you should not use a pocket/sporting knife for daily kitchen use, but there are people here who do. They are not made to be washed in soap and water on a daily basis. It is your knife and you can clearly use it as you see fit, but I would think the constant use of dish cleaning soap and water is not good for the spring and general finish of the knife.....buy a cheap set of Ginsus....lol
