Care of Mammoth Ivory?

Wow! I just recently got a small Classic Sebbie with Mammoth Ivory inlays (to complete my trilogy of Large Sebbie, Small Sebbie, and Mnandi). I bought it to carry it and use it, but I don't know how well the inlays will hold up. Will they scuff, stain, scratch, etc. from pocket carry? I usually keep it in the calfskin pouch, but would like to carry it clipped, too. Anybody out there have experience with this?

Light mineral oil works well. I use baby oil on all of my ivory & bone handles.

I have a Bark Ivory Mnandi that sees a lot of use and pocket time. I haven't done anything special to the ivory. I took the clip off and carry it in my left front pocket along with my rayskin money clip and it has held up very well. It does over time seem to have a darker creme color which I think it gives it a lot of personality. I may have a couple very light scratches on the blade but the knife looks and functions as good as new. I've been carrying it almost everday for about a year and I've sharpened it on my Edge Pro twice. It takes a wicked edge.
