Care to measure the angle of you Scandi?

Lately I notice that many people assume that inclusive angle of most scandi grinds is 20 degrees or even less. In fact the most commonly I measured around 25 degrees on my scandies. Approximate angle figure is pretty easy to get with more or less good ruler or calipers, by measuring blade thickness and grind length. Then through simple geometry formula we can get an angle measure. Formula calculation can be done on a standard Windows Calculator Program (switch to scientific mode)

Currently I only have 2 scandies with me and my measurements are:

Mora Bushcraft Force = 24 inclusive
Brusletto Custom = 25 inclusive.

I would be very interested to know what are the angle measurements for your scandi knives.

My calculator would not let me take the inverse sine. Kept giving "invalid function". However, Bushcraft Triflex t=0.097" g=0.224", Mora 911 t=0.099" g=0.280", Mora 511 t=0.099" g=0.283"

Ooops. operator error - clicking the wrong function. Bushcraft Triflex = 25 degrees, Mora 612 = 19 degrees, Mora 911 = 20 degrees, Mora 511 = 20 degrees.

If you don't have a scientific calculator on hand, wolfram alpha is a really useful tool for this kind of thing

I forgot to mention, in wolfram alpha you can input the inverse sine as sin^(-1)() or as asin(), or you can just write "inverse sin of ()"

You could just google "protractor" and hold the knife up to your monitor if all you need is a quick estimate.
