Headed out on a diving trip soon. St. Kitts/Nevis, etc. Anyone familiar with knife laws there?

I cannot find *anything* on the subject.

Thanks,
Mark

Are you going with a local outfitter? You may wish to ask them what they carry on dives. The locals should know. Good luck and stay safe.

When I was on St. Maarten last year, I carried my yellow Spyderco Salt 1 the entire time (even clipped into my swim suit). I've found that the local police don't normally harass the tourists - especially if you behave yourself, don't put yourself in compromising situations, and don't drive while intoxicated... Anyway, I didn't check the knife laws before going, and if I had been stopped and searched, I was going to claim that it was my "fishing knife". Probably couldn't get away with this excuse if I was carrying a large tactical folder, but the bright yellow Salt looked like it belonged in a tackle box...

Can anyone expand on the knife laws in St. Kitts? I may have to move their temporarily for a work project which will last anywhere from three to six months. I am used to legally carrying a good size folder in my state here in the U.S. I can not find any information if I can even bring a folder or even fixed blades to St. Kitts. I guess I could call our Embassy there.

Actually, look what dominion that island is part of, the British one, or the caribbean one, and they have a whole bunch of laws (most of them not respected anyway), look for the dominion, then look for the laws in that dominion.
