I have had this knife for a while but just got it out in the last few days to use. On the dock and the surface I have been using a Spyderco Pacific Salt H1 and it has held up surprisingly well for the five or so years of use in a marine environment that I have put it through. I have beat it up and thrashed it and it is still a pretty good cutter. So about a year ago I bought this Caribbean Sheepfoot knife but I did not drag it out until recently and have used it on a couple of tasks with minor rinsing in fresh water to clean it up. There are no signs of corrosion, which is what I expected, because the H1 Salt I have been using has never shown any corrosion and this LC200N is supposed to be better yet. I pulled this nasty nylon rope up from the bottom of the harbor while diving the other day to use as a test cut piece and the Caribbean made short pieces easily. I think I might adjust the angle and put a finer finish on the edge as well, just because I like to be able to see my reflection in the blade edge. But, for now I am happy with it. This picture makes the blade look a bit shorter than it really is at 3.7" / 93mm. It feels good in my hand (which is big) due to the wider handle and the machined grooves give it a solid grip. This is the first knife I think I have had with this type of compression lock, but it seems solid. Life is good.

OK, this one came in at 32.5 degrees and the edges polished up quickly to a very nice shine and blazing sharp. I think it will be a very capable cutter, and if it resists corrosion as well as the Pacific salt I had, that will be great.

I've got a Caribbean leaf, I love it. The only thing I wish I could change would be to give it a thicker tip.

One of my favorite folders. My go-to when I need a versatile, tough folder. I’m a huge LC200N fan and Spyderco’s is the best I’ve used. I don’t know how the Carribean doesn’t get more love. I prefer it over the PM2. My dream knife would be a run of Carribeans I’m Magnacut; I would never need to buy another folder again.

Can we all pause and give Sal a standing ovation for personally responding and answering a question. Incredible!!!!!

I will second pretty much everything you say, but esp. the part about a Magnacut Carribean. From high-end customs to high value lower-priced knives, very little gets my $ these days, but a Magnacut Carribean would be magnificent and I would certainly pick one up. ❤️

Now that you have put it that way they won't make one because then they would not sell you any additional knives. ;)

To be fair, I said “need”. That doesn’t account for “want”, which makes up 95 percent of my knife purchases!
