Hey, I have a 2007 annual Small Sebenza with American Plane Burl inlays. Gorgeous knife. I am using it as an EDC, because I don't want to safe queen any of my knives. I know it will get some wear and tear from that, but I am curious if there is anything special I can do to protect the wood inlays as much as possible, since they are the one part that is not covered by warranty or replaceable.

Is there some wax or anything to put on the inlays? I don't mind doing alot of maintenance, I generally clean my EDC knife every day anyway.

I like renwax. just google it, it's about 15-20 bucks for enough to last the rest of your life. if you're going to be doing regular maintenance, though, you can just use mineral oil; it works fine but does require frequent reapplication.

Ren wax is good stuff. The shop said the wood inlays are stabilized to prevent shrinkage, so that should give help with that aspect of maintenance.

Renaissance Wax Is The Best, I've Used It On Guns & Knives For 35 Years
Most All Antique Colt Collectors Use It On All There Guns ;);););) Rickster ;);););)

When I got my mnandi I e-mailed CRK and in the reply they said just use some furniture dusting polish periodically.
