I've been working on a Carl Schlieper 99S saw and blade combo. I think it's from the late 1970s based on the tang stamp, but I'm not sure. It came with a really strong pull so I've been oiling/working the joint and leaving the blade half-open overnight many times, which seems to have helped. I added a patina to the blade and stropped the edge sharp. The blade is off-center, but it does not actually touch the liner. It would make a great knife to bring into the woods.

 A sawdbuster in a way! Nice knife in great condition.
Believe it ornot, butit is esier to get a Schliepper in the US than in Europe, including Germany.

Yes, the closed length is about 120mm, a little large for the pocket. The sharp edge is about 88mm. It feels very solid, built like a tank.
