carl schlieper solingnon germany dagger

I assume you mean 'Solingen.' Carl Schlieper was a tool manufacturer and later cutlery company there. Schlieper made knives for a long time but went bust in the nineties. One of my favorite integral knives are made by that company.
Unless you snap some pics with your phone (outside in natural light) and post them here https://bladeforums.com/forums/bernard-levines-knife-collecting-identification.691/, we of course cant tell you anyting about a specific dagger. Schlieper made daggers for the military, dress daggers for the Wehrmacht, civilian 'artsy' daggers, hunting daggers and much much more. It all adds up to many MANY different knives.
Use the photo host imgur. Its easy and takes but a few minutes to register and upload some pics. Its so easy, a Bonobo drunk on fermented fruit could do it.

Do post some pictures please...
That brand name has been around for quite some time

Eye brand today (which is but a brand name on folders) does not have fixed bladed hunting knives like the eye brand of old.
I certainly hope that the dagger you speak of is not an indonesian made commando dagger with the eye brand trademark infringement...

No idea. I dont know what a 'Kopassus' is.
I remember reading, that Schliper of old worked in what is present day Indonesia and sold their wares there. Ive edited the Indonesian reference, in case that reference might be doubtful.

Errr.. My bad, sorry for the confusion bladescout. :)
But my earlier post was in reply to OP's original question.
However Imho, the kopassus indonesian made schlieper inspired look alikes are rampant.
Notably with the faked solingen related markings.
Including one that reads "stainless", in which these copies are not ;-)

Anyway, we'll have to wait and see if there is anything further from mrs.l...

Your post was below mine, you didnt quote anybody and I was the only one to mention anything from Indonesia hence I thought that remark was for me.
