Hi y'all,

I was wondering if any of you could tell me anything about Carl Zakabi or his "Big Kahuna".

Thanks,
John

I met Carl a couple of years ago while on a TDY to Hickam AFB. He is a first class kind of guy! He holds a civilian position in the Civil Engeenering squadron. At the time, he used only stainless (440/ATS) and synthetic handle materials. His quality and craftmanship is excellent. Regretfully, I haven't kept in touch with him, but from some of his work I have seen in the past year or so, he will be one of the "up and comers".

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the positive comments. I saw the Kahuna on p.64 of the Oct issue of Knives Illustrated and I knew I would have to have it. I guess I'll give him a ring on Monday.

John

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the tips.

P.S. Nice webpage. My favorite knife on it was the folding boot knife.
