I recently purchased a Carlos Hathcock USMC commemorative knife and was wondering if any one knew the value of it.

I am also looking for one of these knives......don't know the value...but am a big fan of Hathcock.....have read his books. If you know of anyone wanting to sell one of the knives please contact me at 1perfectpair@charter.net.

Thanks, Anthony Edwards

The Carlos Hathcock commemorative knife was made by Camillus for Blue Ridge Knives. A total of 500 knives were produced. They originally sold for $150 each and now they can sell for up to $300. This knife was a 7" fixed blade with a smooth ground blade and no blood groove. The blade was etched. These knives were made during the 1990's.

Carlos Hathcock, also known as "The White Feather", was one of the greatest snipers of all times. Searching the internet will provide further info.

Anyone have a pic of this knife?I'v3e read a few books on Carlos myself.I'd love to buy one

There is one on ebay now. I would buy it but i want one that is in better condition. If someone has one of these and wants to sell it, let me know. I don't care what the price is within reason.

Sincerely, Jason

Honestly, i have no idea. It wouldn't surprise me. Half the things on ebay are fakes. I would think that this guy is honest though. With the other items that he is selling with the group, i would have a tuff time believing that he would put in a fake knife. It sucks that the knife looks like it has been heavily used.

Several years ago I was contacted by the wife of a former soldier that had been trained by Carlos Hathcock to be a sniper. She was looking for one of the Carlos Hathcock commemorative knives that Camillus had made.
I was not able to locate one, so I had three knives made with the special etchings and packaging. These knives were made with blades that had a blood groove (I did this intentionally so they were different than the original 500). The wife purchased the three knives.
It is surprising to see one of these knives in used condition offered on Ebay. The etching stencils were still at the Camillus factory at the time the company closed on 2/28/2007.

Hi, Guys, First time posting here. I was reading about the Carlos Hathcock knife in the various posts. I had even forgotten about having it, and was looking for something else when I ran across it today. I bought it at a gun show where Carlos was there signing books. Mine does have the blood groove. I also got Carlos to sign his book, too. I have the book boxed up somewhere, and will have to see if I can find it. On the end of the knife box it says 1009CH, Camillus Cutlery Company, Camillus, New York, 13031. It says 1 of 500 on top of the box along with other stuff. I have to assume that it is an original knife since I bought it directly off Carlos.

i recently got one of these knives in great condition, was by total fluke that i ended up with it. it is what Tom Williams is describing below. does anybody have more info on these collectors items?

Hi,

I thought i would post this in the general section since the collectors section does not see a lot of traffic, i just would like some more info on this knife: Carlos Hathcock USMC Commemorative Knife "One Shot One Kill"

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...mmemorative-knife?highlight=hathcock+Camillus

There is not a lot of info there, i have emailed Tom Williams a while ago but havent got a reply yet. The internet also has little more info. The one i have has a blood grove and the blade is mirror polished with all the writing on it and crosshair on it and it also says "The White Feather" and below it "1 of 500". It is definitely and original quality product. Any info would be appreciated as too scarcity, manufacturing date etc.

I'm not sure what more information you want? Tom gave you the scoop on your knife there.
