The carnavour has the best handle on a folder that I have ever held period... I used to carry the Spyderco Military, it was great, light weight, 440, large handle, but after using the Carnavour, the weight is a minimal sacrifice for the sure comfortable grip. The rolling lock is just a bonus.
I just wanted to add this comment in aggrement with other Carnavour owners.

Absolutely! The Carnivour has the most ergonomic handle of any production folder bar none. For me anyway. It also feels great in reverse grip.

I received my Carnivour a couple of days ago, and now I see what you folks have been talking about! Someone put a lot of thought into this design, and REKAT deserves some huge kudos.Too often these days, knives are obviously put together for "looks" rather than use. The Carnivour now sets the bar pretty high!

O.K.,

So the handle is one of the best out there, but what about the actual knife fit and finish.

I would like to know if the overall fit and finish is up to par.

I have had several REKAT's, and the quality is hit or miss. Is the Carnivour's quality what it should be (sharpness, grind lines, tool marks, etc) or does REKAT still need to do some QC work?

The fit and finish on mine is good. A definate improvement over some older REKAT Pioneers I have seen. I have a Pioneer 1 that is tough as nails but the finish is kind of rough. But for a real user knife finish doesnt seem that important. Besides, I think the tool marks gave those old pioneers character. My Carnivour wasnt as sharp as I like my knives, but a few swipes on the sharpmaker corrected that. I have got to say that the Carnivour is one tough knife.

I'm weary at how much the Carnivour handle hurts my hand as opposed to my AFCK for example. However, I wanted it strictly for self defense, not creature comfort, and the handle shape fits the bill nicely.
