just bought the CRKT C/K small version, and i do like it. razor sharp out of box, good quality, lower price point.

however, i am hankerin' for higher quality steel, etc. i believe the carnivore is a collaboration btween one of the desingers above, and REKAT. is this a good move up from the CRKT(no, not getting of it)?

thanks for the input guys....

I'm terribly sorry if I spelled carnivore incorrectly. I mean not to offend.

I know there are possibly different spellings, but I thought this was the one.(I dislike erring...lol)

The Carnivore is a step up as far as materials are concerned. Better blade steel and G-10 handles. I have several REKATS and a
CRK&T small KFF, CRK&T makes a good knife and if you like the KFF then you should like the Carnivore.

thank you. since you mentioned that you have several REKATs, i was wondering what your impression of them overall is. they seem like really solid, well made knives, but i have no opportunity to handly one...noone seems to carry them around me. i was considering the Sifu and Hobbit Warrior
and Pocket Hobbit(they all look so nice!).
do u have any of these??

I have two REKAT Carnivores(both Red/Black Bladeforums) One is for show and the other is a daily carry. I have a Pioneer II and a Carnivore Cub. Ok, so I have only 4 and not several(I'm working on it

) they all seem to be well made knives. They are on the heavy side so be warned. Rock solid and built to last a lifetime are a couple of impressions that come to mind. I'm right handed so ambidextrous lock release means very little to me, but your requirements my dictate otherwise. I'm not crazy about the way they attach the pocket clips(don't like clips anyway). The ATS-34 on my blades seem to take an edge better than my Benchmade and resist chipping better. I really like their knives, they fit my hand very well. I doubt you will be disappointed in the Carnivore since you like the KFF.

Thank you much for the information. I don't mind the "heavier" knife weight. After all, if it is ok with my weight, who am I to judge? anyway, heavier just means my family won't borrow it as often...lol.

well, im gonna keep lookin' into 'em for a bit...at least while i scrounge up some $$$. then, maybe ill see how i feel that particular day..lol.

later

doesn't anything over 3 count as several??
