I just received my Knife-drawing Carnivour. It is a VERY nice knife and I thank all involved in my receiving it. As I said in my post in the general forum, more review later.

Thank you.

As I said above, I have received the Carnivore that I won and it is growing on me. It is very well made and convenient. I do have one question, however. Of what type is the lock? It looks and acts very much like the old Gerber bolt-action locks, of which I was quite fond. Is this what it is?
Thank you.

The official name of the lock is the 'rolling lock.' If you search back in this forum, Bob Taylor gave a pretty detailed description of how it works. I won't even try to explain it, since I have never seen one first-hand.

Refund! You lose! :)

Hey Hugh,

Congradulations on winning the knife. I am thinking about getting a Carnavor in the future, but I have a question maybe you can answer. I've looked around, but I cannot find the weight of the Carnavor. If you get by a scale, maybe you can weigh the knife and let us all know how much it weighs.
Thanks,
Nick

Nandak, certainly, I shall try to find a postage scale or similar and add that to the review that I am working up.

I have seen the name of this knife spelled two ways: Carnivour and Carnivore. Bob Taylor spelled it Carnivore in a posting about being away, and the REKAT web page spells it Carnivour. Which is correct?
