Hi,

I am new to this forum and thought I would post a question here. I purchased a set of Winchester knives this AM from Wally World. I thought Winchester is a name that represents quality, but I just noticed the 3 knives are made in China (Who would have guessed!) by (?) Carolina Knife and Tool with permission to use the name Winchester.

What's the quality? Should I leave them in the box just to look at or use them?

Thanx

"Winchester" is a brand (like "S&W") and the knife division has nothing to do with the guns.

If you bought the knives because they are pretty, don't use them. Otherwise, use them. They are not "premium", but they should be useable within reasonable expectations given the price.

As to quality, they didn't cost much, right?

But, as Mr. Levine points out, you need to handle many examples of knives to get a feel as to what "quality" is (as well as other aspects). Handle the knives and compare to some $100+ knives you have handled. Then, you tell us what is "good" and "bad" about them. The knives may be pretty good given the cost.
