Seems like a long time since I posted a new folder and probably my last one for a while.

3 3/8" "Peacock" pattern welded blade
Textured tool steel bolsters with blade steel spacers
Stabilized Carpathian Elm Burl scales
7 3/4" over all length

Thanks,
Dave

Thank you Michael :)

JRubeus, yes it's a locking liner and the thumb stud is anodized titanium with an inlayed brown tigers eye.

This photo is a little fuzzy and off but I like it anyway

Very nice. Your folders always have a look that flows.

Good lookin' knife.

rebeltf,
It is some beautiful wood with a lot of chatoyance that's hard for me to photograph. I bought a few blocks here Alpha Knife Supply a couple of years ago (I think) and haven't been able to find it anywhere since. If I find more I'll let you know if you'd like, please do the same for me.

Thanks,
Dave

Will do on that Bro.
I gotta say when I see pics on here the first thing I look at is the wood scales , or Mammoth.
I love when folks use something unusual , such as your Carpathian burl , hell I just love to say "Carpathian burl".:D
I scored a new blade and the maker used some Desert Ironwood I had and I can sit and stare into the chatoyance over and over again , hehe I'm a freeeek , I know.
Also meant to ask , I doubt thats a kit knife right ? (tryin not to sound like a noob) I LOVE the way you did the texture on the bolsters , love it !!
3 thumbs up for ya bud.

There's a lot of great handle material to choose from and Desert Ironwood is one of my favorites. I'm a bit of a freak myself because I also enjoy staring into some nice 3d grained wood.

I guess after I make all the parts and pieces and have them laid out on my bench it's like putting a kit together at that point. :)

I LOVE the way you did the texture on the bolsters , love it !!
Had some photos showing how I do texturing and thought you might like to see them.

Great looking folder Dave! Just what do you mean by "and probably my last one for awhile"? I hope that means you are making fixed blades then.;) I love your knives... you definately have your own "look". I hope to see more in the future.

Thanks Mongo!
Making folders is my favorite but it's hard for me to concentrate enough right now to make any more until I recover from an upcoming surgery, I'll work on some fixed blades until then. Hopefully after this I'll be able to get back to some sort of normal living again, as weird as this might sound, I really miss working!
Ever since I started making knives I've wanted to attend shows and hammer ins but with this crazy health stuff I haven't been able to. I recently had to cancel my table at this years Guild show, it would've been my first show and was really looking forward to it. No matter what the outcome I'll continue making knives, I enjoy it too much to stop :)

Best of luck with your health, Dave.

This folder like all your others just has your trade mark look. Fat blade, a big lump of a handle that just looks so comfy.

I like them all.

In fact, I always keep an eye open and hope that you put up some thing for sale.
