Carpenter Hatchet Transformation

I've had this old Carpenters Hatchet for over 20 years, very plain Jane. I was bored and wanted something more vikingesque so I got out my metal cutting blade grinder, my Dremel, and my bench grinder, and after an hour this is the result below. I also sanded off original maroon color paint on the handle, and gave it several coats of dark walnut Watco oil. I'm happy with the results so far.

Looks good! I did one similarly but also shortened the hammer part to lighten the head.

Cool! That is a very interesting design, I like it!

I modded one of those years ago, tried to make it into a hawk, and that was what led me to buying some actual tomahawks in the end.
