Hey guys, this is my first post in Spyderco forum and I was hoping that one of you could help me out. I just picked up the recent BLADE magazine and inside there was a story done on their CTS steels and it said that there was a knife being made by Spyderco. The knife was being made for employees first and then it was going to be released to the public. Does anyone know what the knife is? I'd love to make this knife my first Spyderco because I only live about 20 minutes from their factory and I think that would be knida cool personally.

Blazerman,

The knife will not be sold at the Carpenter facility but will be sold thru Spyderco. Carpenter employess will order from Spyderco direct and the product will be sent directly to the employee. There is a custom design for for Carpenter employees and Spyderco is evaluating what version of the knife they will offer to the general public.

Gotcha, after reading my post over I guess it did seem like I thought I could buy the knife from Carpenter. I know you cannot I was just thinking that this would be cool as my first Spydercco. Sorry for the confusion!

Thanks Carpenter!

Big invite to join the forum more! I know you'll find a lot of fans of your steels here that would love to hear more from you! Thanks for giving us such great stuff!

I have been pretty excited about this knife since I first heard about it's inception. I live a few minutes away from one of their facilities and have done work for them for a few years via contracting. The company is pretty awesome and I've got to see stuff in person that really blew my mind. I can't wait for this to be released.

Hi Blazerman & Cartech,

Welcome to the Spydedrco forum.

It's a very nice design and we're looking forward to making them.
