Carrier for CR 123's ?

Has anyone come up with a simple carrier for CR 123 batteries? I have seen a few really expensive "survival" type capsuels that might work, but don't seem worth the price just for this use. They are also much too bulky for pocket carrying - a bit of "overkill" IMHO.

What I am looking for is a simple tube (plastic or maybe aluminum)that is can be capped closed so it is reasonably watertight and can hold 2 CR 123s. Gotta be something out there, either espically made or - even better! - maybe some packaging for another product that can be re-used for this purpose?

I had asked the same question on the forums a while back. Found out about the Kodak Advantix-style canisters. Holds 2 perfectly. Haven't tested water"proof"ness yet. Definitely water resistant.

 Holy crap, Mike! You, or somebody, is an evil genius! Or maybe I'm just blind. Got three of them just sitting here...

Anybody know where to get those big "spy capsules" that hold 2 123s?

I've found the best carrier for 123A batteries is an E2e.

Failing that, I have an UKE 2L kicking about in the bottom of my rucksack that is waterproof, tough and very compact. Also functions as a pretty neat flashlight if need be.

I'm serious. If you just want to carry two 123As, why not consider a backup flashlight?

If you need to carry more 123As, lets say six of them, the SureFire SC1 or SC2 will keep them safe.

Respectfully,

Al

Go to any camping suppily store and pick up a plastic match holder. Costs about a dollar, holds 2 cr123's and is waterproof.

Plastic pill bottle w/childproof cap (use cotton balls & strike anywhere matches to fill any excess space)

I just tape two of them together and carry them that way when my E2e batteries are starting to run out.
