Does anybody here actually carry/EDC the Spartan? Might get one, but I don't really want a knife thats just going to sit on the shelf.

I carry a large Voyager Vaquero that is kind of like a smaller, clip point version of the Spartan and about the ideal size for me. I saw a lot of people mention that they carry a Spartan within the first year or so it was introduced but a lot of knives don't get mentioned much after their glory time/new factor wears off.

I do on occasion when I want to feel invincible. I usually pair it with a a Cold Steel Rajah III. Good times!

I carry one once in a while as a self-defense knife. (Switching off with other larger tactical folders.)

It doesn't really work for me as an EDC though.

I think the Spartan is one of those knives that looks better than it actually functions. It's just awkward to handle. Voyager all the way.

A guy can carry the Spartan on a daily basis, but it takes commitment.

This is definitely a knife that I don't regret buying. It's a big bad-ass knife for $60

I do quite often

I have a Spartan, and I have carried it a couple times, but my normal EDC folder is my CRKT folding Hissatsu. The Spartan needs to be carried in a good belt-sheath, or in a dedicated front pocket, as it is a large, WIDE folder.

It has a bead-blasted finish, which can be more prone to rust and corrosion build-up at times.

Mine has a little bit of crud on it that needs to be cleaned off.

I have been carrying mine most days for 6 months, it's my favorite beater folder. I wear jeans and don't even notice it's their until I need it.

It's a mean little knife. It really need to have a small lanyard on it in order to wave it open, otherwise you can't really get a good grip on it.

I carry mine sometimes, but it's since fallen out of favor for the Large G10 Espada. Both have the same bead blasted finish and they have a few small rust spots, but the Spartan seems to resist it a bit more, and they're not noticeable. I'll mirror polish them some time to solve that problem.
