Carry a Mnandi in jeans?

I've always carried one of my Sebenzas in jeans and reserve my Mnandis for suits/dress slacks. The pocket clip on the Mnandi looks rather flimsy and am worried about bending/distorting it by clipping over the heavy pocket edge on jeans. Am I worrying needlessly? Anyone carry their Mnandi when wearing jeans?

The pocket clip on the Mnandi is pretty beefy, however I never use the Mnandi pocket clip. I don't even keep the clip on my Mnandis. The Mnandi just seems too small and light to carry clipped to the edge of my pocket.

One of my Mnandis I carry in my picket, often without the leather sleeve. My other Mnandis I carry in my pocket, in the leather sleeve, or in a small nylon pouch.

Yup I carry my Mnandi in jeans or dress pants or shirt pockets, it seems very happy that I take it out to play!:D

I concur; I actually remove the pocket clip and carry it in a rayskin WH slip sheath in the right front pocket of my jeans. I like the pocket clip, but just don't trust it enough to hold on. I've also carried the Mnandi in the watch pocket with the pocket clip in the past, only to find it almost fell out. Not good.

Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll try it with jeans. I guess I can always buy a replacement clip if I bend this one.

The Mnandi clip is flimsy? It's machined from solid titanium and it's thicker in some parts than the Sebenza clip.

Yeah. Guess I missed that one. The clip is probably the thickest pocket clip I've seen. Very strong. There's no way I can see bending it in any way. Heck...the thing is screwed into the frame holding the knife together.

The thing about it is that it's short and small. To get over the lip of your jean pocket prevents the clip from doing it's job very well. A shirt pocket or even your lapel should be no problem for it. But pants pockets are much thicker. I won't chance it.

The Mnandi clip is strong and very grippy. I don't normally wear it with jeans (I clip my Sebenza Classic in the waist with the belt covering most of the clip), but do clip the Manandi to the bottom of the pocket opening of my usual office pants (Dockers or similar). It seems secure there, it's always in the same place and I don't have to fish it out of the bottom of the pocket (where my keyring resides - Photon, SAK Classic, keys, Fox whistle).

It was intentionally designed to look like a pen clip to be clipped into a shirt pocket. ;)

Argh! I can't stand it, I want a Mnandi!
