Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. I had a question about what the law is for minors carrying knives in so cal. I've searched everywhere for this and can't find an answer. I'm 13 and currently carry my Leatherman wave on me. I've been looking at an SOG Trident though. I know it's a illegal to buy a knife without a guardian with you as a minor. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no state law that mentions age at all.
Your city might have more restrictive laws.

Certainly don't forget and show up at school with any knife!!! Don't even have one in your vehicle when on school property. I always park on nearby city streets when I am at school functions.
I too have looked and not found anything that prohibits carry for minors, but that doesn't mean I missed something. My son who is 14, carries a Super CQC-7 all the time when we are out in the bush, but not in town.
My daughter who is almost 18 and sometimes has to leave work and walk to her car at night, carries a CQC-7 (she likes the shorter one) but I am going to give here a Combat Karambit when she turns 18.
