NewHello all! Went for a little hike today, and I took a Fiskars hatchet and a RAT-1. Honestly, the hatchet was useless since I didn't come across anything big enough to need it. I regretted bringing it after the first mile, but oh well. What do you guys carry?

Hello,
It depends of what I expect I may have to do
For the hike I do a PM2 is all I take with me
But most of the time I stay on footpath and my hikes are 5-6 jours long... so nothing I may need any kind of bushcraft or camp tools

No hikes (I have trouble walking) but when I ride my adult trike (I can still pedal) I have a Buck 110 and/or 112 on my belt and a Buck 301 stockman in my pocket.

Coincidentally I don’t have either right now but I would say manix Ltwt and Benchmade bugout.

Almost always carry my Bradford Guardian 3 in 3v. Inobtrusive carry and gives you fixed blade strength if you really need it.

My df2 or a shuffle is in pocket. I wouldn't take my hatchet unless I was doing overnights and needed firewood.

I carry an Endura or a Manix 2 light weight. If I expect I might need something more I pack a Gerber Bear Grylls Survival Hatchet, which is as light as a lot of fixed blade knives.
