carry options for BK14

Hey all,

Wondering if you guys and gals (especially the Beackerheads) had any input on some ways to carry a BK14. I'm finding that the manufacturers sheath is not the best for pocket carry (a little too wide). I've added paracord for belt carry, but I think getting the clip would be more efficient as the paracord doesn't grip as well and tends to slide a bit. Should I try the clip or just get a slimmer custom sheath for pocket carry? Or are there any other suggestions? Thanks all!

The TDI clip worked well for me when I used it. Otherwise, look for taco sheaths, I've found those to be best for pocket carry.

I made these for my bk24. I never was fond of plastics sheaths.

And this is my back pocket everywhere else option

For pocket carry, I think it's hard to beat KSF sheaths...

For belt carry (BK11 for me but same difference), I have a nice custom kydex sheath I carry crossdraw.

Thanks guys, they aren't terribly difficult. I've spent a lot of time watching YouTube videos on how to do this stuff. You can use a fork to mark the stich spacing. And an ice pick for the lines. That will make your work look much cleaner than just eyeballing it.

I'm not a big fan of the factory sheath and clip design for belt carry, as I really hate the handle poking me in the ribs. Because of that I tend to wear it in a cargo pants pocket. If limited to factory options, paracord makes for a good neck knife carry. With a little more paracord it can be worn under the arm. Another option is yet more paracord, and a carabiner clip, and simply clipping it onto a belt loop at whatever height you prefer.

My BK-14 sheath sucks. I use aftermarket sheaths I already had, primarily boot sheaths and horizontal carry.

I'm a leather guy too. Those look great. Wish I could do that. From that work I'd say you should continue further.

I'd say custom is the way to go. If you ask over on the Becker sub-forum you'll get a lot of suggested makers.
