Carry options for my '02 Commander

My new '02 Commander is great but the 'wave' is eating the crap out of my poor pockets. So I'm considering some new carry options.

What is the rapid deployment sheath like? Looks like a possible contender although it does look a little on the bulky side.

How do you all carry your commanders?
 
The Emerson rapid deployment sheath, for the Commander, is great. I use it regularly. It rides tight and high on your right side and once you use it, you will be hooked.

Question though...are u able to mount the sheath horizontally? or is it vertical carry only?
 
You can mount it in almost any position you want to. Vertical, angled, or horizontal.

Yes, you can mount it in any position, so long is it is on the right side. I don't know if they make a lefty version or not.

However, always keep in mind if you mount it horizonally, someone else can always pull the knife straight out from the sheath. That is always my concern about horizontally mounted sheaths for fixed blades or the Commander.

If I'm not mistaken, you can mount it on the left side and use it as a cross draw type of carry. Of course this would be for a right handed person. If you are left handed, you might contact Emerson knives to see if they have a lefty model.
