I just purchased a carry system for my lightfoot hammerhead,it is a jsp system should arrive in a few weeks. Just curious if any other forum members have experiance with this particular model. The comfort level is my true concern it will be worn for hours while hunting. I wanted a behind the back system that would not be cumbersome to me while in a tree stand. JSP has a great reputation and comes highly recomended by greg lightfoot. Please give any feed back that you have. Thanks, Mike.

Mike,

I'm a little reluctant to post this, given that I have not actually handled a hammerhead. Let me offer my experience with an SB3 Rig and the various knives I carry on it (some of which may be similar to your knife).

First, I have four knives that I carry on my rig. An Al Mar Alaskan Bowie (12" blade, heavy but nice knife). A matched pair of Millennium Fighters from Jerry Hossom ( www.hossom.com )with 11" blades, very light very fast knives. The last knife is a Blackjack Anaconda with a 10" blade which is also heavy.

I've found that I can carry the Millennium Fighters all day, no problem. The Anaconda creates a little strain, but the Al Mar is heavy, and I really feel it by the end of the day. The worst thing, however, is when you sit in a chair with a high back. It's a little uncomfortable then. If you're up and moving around a lot, it's not an issue.
