Okay soo I'm gonna do some camping/hiking/backpacking soon and I would like an opinion on a little knife combo i thought up.

Soo a Becker Necker
Becker Bk2
And a Cold steel Magnum Kukri.

Is this a good combo? I was thinking about a BK9 but the Kukri would kinda replace it for bigger thingss. What do you thinkk?

Do you need both the Kukri and BK2? It seems like they overlap in purpose.

I usually find that a trinity of heavy-medium-light duty blades works best. Light Duty = 2" - 4" blade. Medium Duty = 4" - 6" blade. Heavy Duty = 6" +. For the last while I've used Cold Steel Pendleton Hunter (light duty - 3 1/2",) SRK (medium duty - 6".) and Trail Master (heavy duty - 9 1/2".) For either the light or medium duty blades, you could go to a folder to reduce carry bulk.

I prefer a foldingsaw and a hatchet for firewood but if you really think you need a kukri for chopping get an HI Ang Khola - the CAK is warranteed for prying

If you know what you're doing a SAK will do everything you need.

If you want to have fun, and are built like a tank, the Himalayan Imports Chiruwa Ang Khola would be a blast to take camping.

Really anything in-between would be adequate. I can vouch for the Becker 9 being light and capable. Just don't expect it to pry boulders apart like a Busse or the CAK.
