Currently there is a relay walk going from West Point, NY to Dallas, TX.
The team left West Point Cemetery on 5/1/12 and are working their way to Dallas to arrive by the 27th. Where the relay will conclude with a 20hour and 12 minute relay in Dallas.
They are walking to raise awareness about the true meaning of memorial day and to raise money for charities that help families of service members killed in the line of duty.
I am on day 4 of my tour as the medic for the group. We are currently just to the west of Knoxville, TN and passed the half-way point last night.
