Carrying a BK2

I had a guy return a BK2 because it tends to lean out when carried on a duty belt. I tried it out for a few minutes and it does seem to be a little butt heavy. I tried to move the attachment points on the sheath but I did not see any improvement.

I have never carried a BK2 but was interested if any of you have heard of or experienced this complaint before? Any tricks to balance it out?

Other than that and the sticky sheaths covered in another post, this seems to be a very impressive knife. Everyone that picks it up says the same exact thing; WOW!

Yeah, the belt loop is the issue there. It can be stiffened up in a couple of different ways, or removed and replace with a Tech Lok.
 
Yeah, its a leaner. You can mod the sheath in a few manners to keep that from happening. Derek has done a great one, but others aren't so into modding stuff. I look at the belt loop as the first thing to go. Then, I get a molle back from ESEE, and rock out. Or just buy another sheath. The IMP sheath is solid, with a helluva lock, its a good base to start from.

I sewed a little re-inforcement into the floppy belt loop and made it a little stiffer on the belt. Still not extremely happy with it though. Looking at a tek-lok in the near future.
 
So the molle back for the ESEE 5/6 fits the BK2? Anyone got any pics of this setup?
 
They don't give dimensions on the ESEE site, is there any difference in size between the ESEE 5 and ESEE 6 belt clip? From the photo it doesn't appear to be modified at all to fit the BK2, it just fits right out of the box?

Pretty sure it's all the same clip. It's almost a direct fit. Screws on on side of the sheath will be off center, but they will work. So minor you have to really look at it to see it.

Thanks and great looking knives. I really like the micarta handles on the BK2 and the camo lanyard and wrap are a nice touch.
