Carrying a Cara Cara?

Alright, I just picked up what I think is a sweet deal on a Cara Cara. I went for the half serrated model for work purposes. So...what do those who actually carry this knife think of it? My only Spydercos are a Tenacious (I think) and a Police in need of repair that I haven't gotten around to shipping yet, so I am curious about how it stacks up.

This is the Byrd Rescue model right? I had one... I think it had something wrong with it, never locked up reliably. Eventually I just tossed it as it was kind of dangerous.

If it had locked up good it seemed like a decent beater rescue type knife.

I have a couple of Cara Caras (rescue and plain edge CC2) and they are good knives for the $$$. I also have a couple of Meadowlarks. I would have no issue with carrying any of them regularly.

I rarely carry them these days as I have many knives I prefer (including an Endura).

I have a Cara Cara 2 that now lives in my truck but I’ve carried it and used it quite a bit. Great knife for the money. The steel is 8cr13mov so it takes a good edge and is easy to sharpen with my novice sharpening skills. I’ve cut rope, carved wood, cut drywall, opened packages, etc. with that knife and have nothing bad to say considering I paid less than $20 for it. It’s basically a cheap endura with a finger choil.

This is the clip point. I plan on scooping up the rescue if I like this one. It'll stay in the truck or on the CamelBak.

Great model...one of the best values out there.

I have a Ti and a blue FRN I scooped off the Exchange recently...

The FRN is my go to parcel opener and box breaker downer. Only had to touch it up on the brown rods and it's toothy and ready to wreck some more boxes. I like the steel quite a bit. The comet hole has even grown on me.

Well...so far, so good. Forgive the brevity of my review, but I don't like to hear myself speak, so it's "just the facts, ma'am." The knife was shipped with a good, working edge on it. I like the grip. It's textured well for my, often wet and greasy, work environment. It's heavier than I expected. I like the little bit of heft it has.I seem to remember handling a Delica (?) and was expecting something that light. I haven't really done much with it yet, but it'll get put through its paces soon enough.

Well I guess that just makes me and you the only two people who actually like 8cr13mov.
