Carrying a double edged fixed blade in California

I'm planning on buying the Ontario 498 & SP-1 fixed blades and they both have the top of the clip point sharpened, is it legal to carry ? also is it legal to carry in my vehicle ? I heard a long time ago that the top of clip point sharpened is illegal in Cali but not sure if law has changed.

It wouldn't matter if it's a full on dagger or even a sword, it's legal to buy and own. Open carry only in a belt sheath where the knife is easily identifiable as a knife by onlookers. No concealed carry. Some areas like L.A. do not allow any knife to be open carried unless it is under a certain length, but remember that in places like that you have to obey both state law and the county/city law at the same time.
