Can any of you guys tell me if there is a big difference the convenience of carrying the commander (which i own) versus the combat or super karambit?

Are they both as comfortable to carry, or are they bigger/heavier because of the finger-ring?

Any comparisons to the size/weight of the commander would be appreciated. I've looked on the website, but looking for anecdotal /real world advice.

Thanks

the kerambit is no heavier than the commander and is lighter if anything but when its closed the kerambit is much wider than the commander as the blade hardly goes into the handle at all. other than that, obvious things like blade shape, the finger ring and perhaps intended use are really your only considerations.

The finger ring makes the karambit much worse for daily carry, IMO. I got both at the same time. I now take the karambit when I travel to states that limit lengths to 3" or less, the commander trades pocket duty with my Super CQC-7 depending on my mood.

The finger ring on either karambit is going to stick completely out of your pocket. And it looks plain as day that you are carrying somethings strange. Makes people more likely to question it inless you have it hidden under a shirt or on your belt. I would say that the karambit is considerable lighter because there is considerably less blade material as well as the holes in the G10 and the finger whole itself is alot of weight shaved off.

i personally dont care for the ring sticking up outta your pocket on k'bits, EKI or otherwise.
