How well does the IWB clip for the RC-3 sheath work,i.e. strength, comfort, etc?

Thanks in advance.

I just use paracord as a belt loop. the knife stays very flat and conceals easily under a t-shirt.

i've had no problem carrying IWB, in fact i am right now. It is very comfortable and plenty strong. The pointed pommel doesn't get in the way or stab me like a lot of people say it does either.

I only carry mine IWB and it's great! Probably one of the most comfortable IWB knives I have even owned.

I tried the IWB with the RC-3 and the supplied boot clip. It works pretty good but is not my favorite mode of carry.

After trying the boot clip both out and inside the waist band, I settled on simply using paracord to create belt loops and tied it to my belt that way. I think it is more secure than the boot clip and if you tie it tight the sheath does not move or shift at all. Plus it is more comfortable that IWB and hides just as easy with an untucked t-shirt. I really only use the boot clip for when I don't use a belt.

I gotta agree. I tried the other methods and settled on the paracord for a belt loop. Both with my RC-3 and RC-6. Very comfortable for both. Didn't even know they were there.

I like the clip, under the belt, over the pants. It is comfortable and concealed. The only gripe I have with the paracord is that it is kind of a pain to put on the belt, as opposed to clip on, clip off.

The paracord works a hell of a lot better than I ever thought it would though. I have MOLLE backs, and I still carry the RC4s with the paracord.

Good to hear IWB carry works well with the clip. I pretty much never wear a belt, so my new RC-3 (should have it Monday!:D) will most likely get carried this way.

I was carrying mine on a daily basis there for a while(till I got my Izula) and it carries VERY well with the boot clip. I drive a truck and I'm constantly in and out of it all day and the RC3 was comfortable to carry even when sitting down bouncing around in my air ride seat and didn't rub or snag at all getting in and out.

I was gonna post a pic of how I carried the RC3 with paracord before I got the boot clip for Azerious and Don G. but the wife has the camera. I'll post tomorrow if I'm not to hungover from the New Years party!! lol!

i want to see a pic with the cord too
i am using the clip that came with my kbar tdi it uses the same holes
is there a teck-lok that works with the RC3 sheath?

Where do you wear your blade iwb? If your belt buckle is 1200 and the small of your back is 600.

I was carrying mine about 930 and it was horrible. The prommel stabbed my ribs the tip jabbed my hip.

I was carrying a glock 22 IWB at about 300 so I'm not sure if that affected the comfort.

the very day I recived my RC3 with belt clip I wore it at 7:00 with clip on outside sheath
inbetween belt & paints with suit & tie took it to dinner at the Coach Insignia at the top
of the GM building.RC3 way more comfortable than a suit.it's now my edc.

anybody has a pic of the tek-lock installed ?
the problem that i am having is the knife is to high
i like the top of the sheath to be even with my belt not higher
the best way to carry for me is 3 or 6 o'clock

Teklok won't work if you want it to ride low. You need to use the MOLLE back for that.

here are the pics
the rc3 is ok iwb but it rides high so it is hard to conceal
