When hiking, I hate the feeling of a heavy knife bouncing in my pocket.
I found this picture in the traditional forum. It got me thinking about good ways to carry our pocket knives.

Do you simply put your knife in your pocket or do you carry them some other way?
Does anyone here make a clip pouch like this?

John, you and I will need to talk about one for a Case large Trapper.

I have one fixed in a pancake sheath that rides easily in my back pocket. Stomper made it.

I really like the KSF pocket sheath (Adirondack) and carry a BRKT necker in it but I will say that if I am getting in and out of furniture and especially cars I better be careful to take it out because the flaring out of the handle from the body can do some serious seat damage especially over time.

I usually just set them in my pocket, doesn't really bother me that much. However, I do like to have a pouch for the real heavy ones.

Those Adirondacks look great. I'm surprised I hadn't paid attention to them before.

I have a SAK in my pocket every day, work or play. I don't even notice it anymore. When I carry a knife with a clip it gets clipped in my back pocket.

For lack of a better option at the moment, I have been just sticking my puukko in my front pocket. I do like to belt carry but I need a new sheath in order to do so.
