Hey guys, I've been eyeing these two knives lately: Bark River Lil Canadian and Mini Northstar. They are both around 7".

How are you guys carrying these awesome knives? Will they work with the KSF pocket sheath? I have both the old and new versions of the pocket sheath and I prefer that method over belt sheath carry. So That's what I'm looking for.

Pictures help a ton. I don't want to drop the coin if I don't think carry will work for me.

Thanks guys!

I've been alternating between a woodland special and lil canadian for my daily carry. I love the canadian, the size is a nice balance of being small enough to carry all the time, but big enough to do the edc thing just fine. It fits fine in the KSF pocket sheath as well

I can't speak to the lil' Canadian, but I can to the mini-Northstar (or to a mini-Canadian). I carry a mini-Northstar a total of about 3 months out of the year. It's a sharp, pointy young blade and, even though it's 12C27 stainless, I can get it razor sharp (though not hair-popping). I'm using the sheath that came with it - a Sharpshooter.

The other day I was out scouting feral hogs when I got out of the truck and reached around to my right side, under the sheath. I don;t know why, I just did. I felt something sharp and pointy. When I looked, I realized that, during some previous re-sheathing, the pointy blade had poked through the backside of the sheath, about midway down. Then the blade had sliced clean, leaving 1/2 of the blade exposed between my pants and sheath. It must have happened not long before that because my pants weren;t cut. I guess I'll have to make another sheath for it.

With that said, I guess pocket carry is unique to the individual. For me, botht he mini-Northstar and lil' C are too long for that. If I'm sticking a knife in my pocket, in a sheath, I want a mini-or a mikro-C, an Imp, a micro-Tusk, a PSK, or maybe a pro-Scalpel. Even then, I prefer my mini-C on the belt. Just me......

Hey CID, do you mind posting a photo of the canadian in the KSF sheath? It would really help.

Thanks.
