Carrying My Arkansas Hunter

I have really enjoyed, carrying the Tony Bose/Case Arkansas Hunter. At 4.5 inches closed it takes up quite a bit of real estate, while it is quite slim and fills my back pocket, it can get smacked around a little. So, I contacted Rick Garcia, His work seemed to fill the need I had in mind. No Goochy, ubber gaudy, bling bling, purse. just a nice belt style pouch with a flap, with a Texas concho (well maybe a Little Bing Bling :D).

I was Out of town for a week and got a great surprise when I got home yesterday. Check it out. I'll wear it today give it a thorough ops check.

Instead of sending the knife I made a wooden template which was close enough for an excellant fit.

Nice sheath and knife!
Template's kinda cool too! You could rent it out for fitting sheaths!:D

Nice template Texbaz. On first glance, I thought you had another knife! Great sheath and knife too.

Very nice leather sheath. The template is a cool idea also. Great combo.

Very nice, it can be tough to find comfortable ways to carry the larger folders. I use sheaths from a couple of different makers...nice to find another leather worker willing to take on custom jobs.I am going to need something done for my new Coats, one of the sheaths I already use fits it fine but I would prefer more of the length of the knife in the sheath...the Coats is rather long at almost 5 inches.

That's a great lookin combo there! Congratulations!:thumbup:

Nice idea on the template. I hate sending knives off to have them fitted for a sheath. Not so much for fear of losing them as it is separation anxiety! :D

Thats a very nice looking setup. Looks like he did a great job on the sheath

That is a very nice sheath and knife combination.

No way can that sheath be called a knife purse. :D

I am not sure that it is legal for carry outside of Texas, what with that Lone Star and all. :D

If it's on the belt, it passes the girlie test. No waiver required.
 and there ya have it. :D.

Really nice work. The AK hunter is a little to large for pocket carry for me so I think that sheath does the trick.

/* sigh of relief */

I sure don't want to hear Tony saying "girly" every time I pull my (his) Wharncliffe Trapper out of Gary Graley's sheath ..... :D

Nice knife and sheath. Looks like all the knife a guy would ever need.;)
