Carrying my new Knockout made me appreciate my ZT0560 that much more.

So I got a Knockout as an early Christmas present and I have been carrying it the last few days.

I like it a lot. It is by far the sharpest Kershaw/ZT I have owned so far.

I'm not the biggest fan of assisted knives and I wish there was a detent so I could remove it. It didn't bother me too much over the last few days but one thing did, the grip. I carry in my right rear pocket and I found it a little difficult to pull the knife out of my pocket.

I actually found it IMPOSSIBLE with slight damp hands.

So as I was putting the Knockout down on my nightstand I picked up my ZT0560 and opened it.

HOLY SMOKES. I guess after carrying it non stop for over 6 months, you forget how amazing of a knife it is. It felt smoother than I remembered and I almost slammed the blade closed because I was used to having to defeat the spring pressure.

I like my Knockout A LOT but I am still head over heels in love with my 0560.

I would love to see the knockout with whatever finish they put on the blur. That matte chalky texture would really make grabbing it a lot easier.

Carried my Knockout for the first time today. Slippery is an understatement. It felt like I couldn't get a grip it rode so deep in my pocket. I like it when opened though. It cut really well.

Thats the only reason I havent bought one, no grip. However the 560 is just a beast to EDC, but it is smooth.

I carry front right pocket, its slim but big. they need to make a 3.25 inch blade model of the 560, that would be PERFECT!

^^ Cryo II is due soon...hopefully will fill a gap in the ZT/Kershaw Hinderers:-)

Ive been carrying the knockout I got at the warehouse sale, all in all pretty decent knife but kinda hard to get a grip on to extract from pocket.

Have you thought about adding a lanyard to it? I usually add them to my knives which have the deep pocket carry clip. I add a lanyard that is usually an inch long, long enough to aid in getting it out of my pocket.

I also recently picked up a Knockout from Dave. And I carry in my right rear also, sometimes a 560 too. I'm really liking my Knockout the more I carry it, nice belly and very sharp!
As for drawing from the pocket, I use the clip for grip. I've noticed that the curve on the end is a bit exaggerated, more than my others. The side of my index finger fits in there nicely, with a slight pinch, the knife slides right out.
Anodizing is slippery, you could always remove it. For a mod, I was contempling sanding the raised portions of the scales. I would polish them. But I'm betting if you left them a bit rougher, it'd help your grip.

I put some skateboard tape on my Knockout, and that takes care of it. Super grippy.

The skateboard tape is on the other side , but you get the idea.

Wonder if you will be able to de-asist the cryo II or is it even assisted? That would fill a gap until they make a smaller 560.

My Knockout has been my EDC since the end of November. I like that it is thin and light. For some reason, the assist mechanism on USA Kershaws is slower than it is on Chinese knives, but that is not an issue for me. My only problem with the Knockout is that the flipper is too smooth.

I like the suggestions but I prefer tip down carry for right rear pocket carry.

Skateboard tape works with tip down. Right there where your thumb would go when grabbing from your right rear pocket. Just saying. Rock on.
