Carrying SAK

Just wondering - how does everyone carry their SAKs? Sheath, pocket? If you carry it in your pocket, do you ever have a problem with lint getting into it?

SwissChamp-sheath
Tinker, Safari, Climber, Wenger Ranger, Bantam, Executive- pocket
Lint- clean them when you get the chance, otherwise doesn't bother me.

I carry Victorinox Explorer w/mini screwdriver in corkscrew in right front pocket almost everyday...sometimes Victorinox Soldier/Alox. Lint does appear in the knife after a day or two of carry; I just blow it out whenever I think about it or use a small paint brush if it is really full. One good breath as if you were blowing out a candle will usually remove most of it with an implement on either end open!

Victorinox Soldier in left front pocket. Lint gets in it sometims, but I wouldn't consider it a problem. Just blow it out, or pick it out.

Victorinox Trekker one hand in a Victorinox nylon Sheath.
Victorinox SwissChamp in a horizontal nylon sheat.

Sometimes I carry the Victorinox Trekker in right front pocket

When I carry my SwissChamp or CyberTool 41, I use my belt sheath. My Midnite MiniChamp II and Executive ride in my front jeans pockets.

Lint and dust removal is taken care of with a good swift puff of breath. If more cleaning is needed, I use a pipe cleaner with one end dampened with 3-in-1 household oil.

I open all the blades of each tool and run the pipe cleaner's oiled end through each implement's grooved channel. I then run the dry end through the same way. It's a nice method of keeping things clean and lubricated.

in pocket (this one has been my EDC for over 11 years)
but in a Sack-Ups pouch -

Lint is not a problem -
but will clean and lube the knife perhaps once or twice a year.

Vic Huntsman inside pocket, a small lanyard on the SAK is clipped to a belt loop so the knife hangs in there rather than going deep in the pocket, no problem with lint.

You know, sometimes, when I am doing nothing and being idle (not at home, of course) somewhere, I'd take my SAK out, pull off the tweezers and start picking the pocket lint! :D

SOSAK Huntsman in front pocket, swisstool x in belt sheath...
Now this hits me... what exactly is a SOSAK? I've seen its 'website' before. Nothing unusual, just a page explaining something about grinds. Now I know there is something more to that. Can someone, somebody explain? email me please if somebody does not want to spill some secrets.

As numberthree said it's the Secret order of Swiss Army Knives.

It's a forum over on Knifeforums that you have to sign up for. If you are a major SAK fan it's DEFINATELY worth it.

Right pocket - my sak was given to me by my brother about 20 years ago. I have not been able to find the model name, the large blade says "officier suisse", if that helps.

Nope, all of the plastic handled models say that. What tools are on it? That would help.

Thanks Morgoth - I have always looked to find a similar model but could never find one.

Its a Victorinox and it has

large blade, small blade, phillips screwdriver, scissors, can opener/small screwdriver, cap lifter/large screwdriver, magnifying glass, awl and corkscrew.

I'll try to post a photo later.

I beleive it's a Victorinox Explorer before the hook design came out. The hook started in the early 90's I think. Vincent would know for sure.

Is it this one, but without the hook?
