Just got a OHT. Tried carrying it in my front pocket but it is to heavy.
Some reccomendations on how you carry your OHT's will be very helpful.

Back pocket. I sew a vertical seam in all of my right back pockets just wide enough for a knife. I've never lost a knife carrying that way and it's very comfortable.

I carried one for about three months last summer, I usually just had it in my front left pocket with a long lanyard. You should also try a P 7 suspension clip it's basically a pocket clip that attaches to the keychain hole. Or just make one yourself.

I also carry in front pocket every day religiously. For work it's not scary, and has everything I'd need.

I don't carry anything in the same pocket.

The only other suggestion I can think of is to get a pouch to belt carry.

For me weight isn't a problem, but for you try it in your back pocket or belt carry in a pouch.

Mine goes in a waterproof stuff sack in my camping pack. If I were to carry it around I would use a belt sheath.

My real EDC, the knife I always walk around with, is a red alox Vic. Farmer. I carry it in my left front pocket under my wallet. It's practically hidden there, but easily accessible.

The OHT is a big brother to it. This is the knife I carry if I plan a walk through the local woods or nature trails. The OHT is very comfortable and accessible in my right back pocket. I have a lanyard and a microlight hanging off the ring, which makes it easy to grab. Best folding saw around. :)

I carry my knives in my front pocket with a Long Lanyard or a short lanyard that has a brass nut on the end for weight and it works very well. Even my Swiss spirit rides perfectly in my pocket like that.

Do what I do with most SAK's or Multi-tools - Put a carabiner on one end of a lanyard and tie a lanyard long enough onto a lobster clasp so you can hook the clasp to the keyring and easily suspend the Trekker into your pocket while the Carabiner is hooked to a belt look(specifically one of the side ones).

Then not only will you not lose it, it takes a lot of the weight out of your pocket. and actually distributes it equally to your belt loop and pocket and ends up feeling a lot lighter and comfortable. This also gives you super easy access.

I have a Sentinel that I just keep in my backpack but it also has a pocket clip. For your Trekker, you could try an aftermarket slip/pouch that has a pocket clip built in if you don't like belt sheaths.

I generally prefer SAKs that are two layers thick, occasionally three, for deep-pocket carry (any thicker and I'll just carry a multitool instead.) I like a bit of a lanyard on 'em too.

I put mine in my pocket next to an ESEE fire tool and a small GI sharpener, when hiking.

If the 1HT is too heavy, not sure what to recommend....

My thanks to all. Really some very good methods for carrying.
I will be sewing a seam down the back of a pair of jeans, thank you Stealth.
I like the idea of the "P7". I may spring for the 12 bucks.
Hanging it off a carabiner, using a pouch, again good ideas I'll have to try them.

I was Youtubing and saw another idea on a P7 review, It was suggested that
attaching a springy binder clip with fold down handles could be substituted for a P7.
This appears about 49-50 seconds in.

Thanks for all your replies.

The Tec P7 clip might work well for it. I haven't tried it on my OHT yet, but I usually carry my Super Tinker that way. I tried the mini-carabiner but found that the added length and the additional joint was more hassle than benefit. The P7 clip is pretty small and should stay out of the way fine during use.

When I carried one, I used a lanyard outside of pocket. This helped to keep it aligned vertically in my jeans pocket.

Cool, never saw one of those! I put a lanyard on my Hunter attached to a D ring that I attach to a rear belt loop, knife in back pocket.
