Carrying/Transporting Edged Weapons

how can i legally transport or carry a short sword...wakizashi or large knife...bowie, smatchet. i live in FL. these blades obviously dont fall into the pocket knife category. however, guns are carried by alot of people down here... concealed weapons permit. i wonder if a permit is available for large knives, swords. also, i read somewhere that a business/resale permit may broaden what i can transport. i dunno. any info would be helpful. thanks

Where do you want to transport them?

If you are going to be in FL the whole time, check out the state laws. IIRC, with a CCW you can carry whatever you want (though an auto could get you arrested), not sure what you can carry without one. I don't know much about FL law though, maybe someone else here will know, otherwise go to the state's official website and see if you can search their penal codes online.

hi. i carry a short sword or large fighter daily. carrybag. in vehicle mostly. i live in florida, so i really should find out soon before i get one of my blades taken away. i looked up laws online, but pretty wishy washy, not very cut and dry. nosword mention at all. i need to find someone who really knows florida law.
