Carter Cutlery Apprentice knives

There is a significant difference in price between the the Carter Cutlery Muteki knives and the apprentice knives. I'm curious if anyone has had any experience comparing the two lines of Carter knives. I've wanted to try a Carter perfect neck knife for a long while, but they are on the more expensive side for Carter's own knives. A Muteki is at the top of what I'm willing to spend on a knife, but the Apprentice knives seem very reasonably priced, but I just don't know what to expect in terms of quality drop off from Muteki to apprentice.

Can anyone here offer some perspective?

I can't say whether or not it is appreciably different from a Muteki, but this Apprentice knife seems pretty sweet upon first impressions.
