...Go and buy it before I do  as I am going crazy with indecision here  . If you buy it then $745 stays in my pocket for the updated Wicked Edge. But this specific configuration constitutes one of my five-inch blade length grails. What to do, what to do o_O ? I need your help to save myself :( ...

You forgot to add UNEVEN GRIND LINES...

...$745...
Does it come with music? Is it made of adamantium? Which steel does it have anyway? Sheath?

I can understand (to some extent) the high prices of some of the knives I see here in BF. Materials, workmanship, brand hype, customs... But this is probably one of the situations where I cannot understand its price tag.

Most Carter knife are made of laminated white #2 with low carbon S35C or 410ss shell. He claimed that this is the best fighting knife in the world. Great balance, light, fast, hold a good edge, easy to sharpen etc.

But I don't understand the choice of steel here since hard steel core laminated with a soft/tough shell is not the ideal when it come to lateral strength. Which is a very important aspect for these kind of knife. Especially on steel like white#2 which is shallow hardening steel that will get hardened at edge area...

Why would you even hesitate spending so little on "the best fighting knife in the world"? The BEST in the WHOLE world! (see posts 2a and 4b)

I'm sure you understand why you see "UNEVEN GRIND LINES..."
it's the raw forged finish which has peaks and valleys, if you grind that face, the grind line will be more even and sharp.

come on guys, you know that the reason the knife is this price is because there are buyers willing to pay, plain and simple economics.

From my biased perspective, you are talking about a knife from an ABS MasterSmith, who invested his life making more than 25,000 blades using traditional Japanese techniques. And after spending a cumulative 9 days learning from Murray Carter, I can tell you that he is indeed very highly skilled.

Judging by the reactions here, I guess Murray Carter is just some schlub who can barely make a passable knife and is deserving of no respect.

He is. And I like his work. But that one, to me, is kinda underwhelming for the price. But, it's a "Murray Carter" and that price is in line his price point. I'm sure it will get it.

What kind of steel?
Aogami Super Blue @ 64 RC clad with S35C (1035 equivalent) carbon steel.

...more than 25,000 blades...
That is part of the reason why I have not yet pulled the trigger. He is such a prolific maker that I feel that I can always hold off and buy another time as his products will always be available.

But that one...is kinda underwhelming for the price.
You are right! If #121 had the nickel silver pins as seen in #119, the knife would not still be available as I would have picked it up. I want to bash on it a bit, see how it really performs. Why not simply go with #119? Too large, and I prefer S35C over Gokunan-tetsu as the cladding.
