All right. I'm just throwing this out here, I'm really really sure that by the end of the week I want to have purchased either a Sebenza or a neck knife by the Carter Cutlery Company. What are your ideas? I know, Sebenza, as far as EDC, is advantageous, but I've been thinking about fixed blades for a while, and being a neck knife, frees up the pockets. But obviously I don't need to get a knife from Murray Carter, but if you're going to invest money into an item, why not get the best item possible?

So. Carter Cutlery Neck Knifes... what do you think?

I love my Carter neck knife, even if I don't wear it or use it that much these days. It has been resharpened many times from use in my workshop on leather and wood, and never fails to come back to freakishly sharp.

Very much worth the money, in my opinion.

carter necks are high quality. excellent edge holders but at that price you can buy other excellent neckers are available & have lots of dollars for other purchases. i assume you mean murray carter, my brother has about 17 of his blades from kitchen to necker to alaskan skinner. i have 3 myself, great edge holders but better used for experts since steel tends to be brittle if you twist it, hit bone hard or drop one in sink you'll probably get damage to tip or blade. my 06 custom skinned deer as well as the alsaskan sinner this weekend. i spent 105$ on my knife.
