This is a 10” Carter Cutlery Whitecrane with a 5” blade in Suminagashi steel (white carbon steel core ). Kingwood handles, white liner, brass peened pins. Swedge ground
This was forged at Murray Carter's shop in Oregon March 24/25 by me under his guidance. Heat treated and water quenched and then tempered to HRC 62+.
The blade is etched to show the pattern and it has a mildly poilshed, yet dull satin finsh to it.

I'm a part time maker that is still a student of knifemaking so it's not the level of most of the other knives in this forum, but I'm improving. :-)

Nicely done! I've been a fan of Murray's for a long time and knowing that your style (and steel :D ) comes from what you've learned under his guidance always makes your knives (and posts in general) very interesting and enjoyable to me. :)

I gotta say, I really love that kingwood on those white liners, it's a beautiful combo! ...especially next to the "white" color of the outer suminigashi cladding, and not to mention the core just so happens to be white steel lol. ;)

Thanks for sharing.

Hey Harbeer! :D

Great to see your knives here on Bladeforums, as well as your flowing IG account.

I look forward to seeing you AND more of your work in two weeks.

You are smart in getting the 'basic' fixed blades down first. I look forward to your ongoing development.

See you,

Coop

That's a very well done knife and something to be proud of in my opinion!

The subtle tapered tang and sculpting of the handle is extremely pleasing.
