This is a carved stag hunter that Charlie just completed. It will get fitted with a sheath and then head off to Coop for some photos. The knife has a blade 4.5 inches long made from Chad Nichols damascus. Charlie carved the handle from a piece of sambar stag. The handle is takedown and the tang is file worked to match the file work on the spine of the blade. Guard and is made of nickel silver and the spacers are nickel silver and black linen micarta.

This is beautiful, and a real signature piece for Twin Blades.

Just took a tour of you guys' web-site, to see some more of this incredible carving. That little Gentleman's Bowie, with the carved handle and ricasso,is another one that is just exquisite! Everyone should click on your link for a treat.

I completely agree. This style would, at first, appear to come out of a talented Russian or European maker. I am SO glad to see It appear from Charlie's and Harry's just-as-talented-down-south-in-the-USA's hands. :p

That is amazing! I wonder how many hours of work went into that piece? Congrats on pulling it all together --- well done!

that's just beautiful you guys:thumbup:

BEAUTIFULLY done. I would have thought it was ivory.

Thanks for posting it Harry, and congratulations on a great piece of carving Charlie.

It is a pleasure seeing it. Hope to see more of it when Coop does his magic!

Wow, awesome work. I'm looking forward to meeting y'all, seeing your shop and talking knives the next time I get up towards Statesboro. You mentioned September being a good month? That might be good, hopefully I get a chance to head up there by then, we should be going to Egypt a bit in September.

Thanks for the comments Guys. We will see what it looks like when we get a real picture of it. Harry has a bowie in the works that will have a carved damascus blade as well as a carved stag handle. We have a few more of these on order, but after we finish them, we don't plan on taking specific custom orders for them anymore, but will do them as time and mood permits. These are the ones we work on in our spare time for fun, and no we don't know how many hours it takes. If we did we likely would not do any more of them.:D
