This completes an unmatched set of two hunting knives that were ordered for a guy to give to his boys.

I threw in a picture of the knife and all the parts right before glue-up just for fun. Everything is pinned together as well as glued so nothing can move or twist.

Specs:
Forged from 1084 steel
8 3/4" overall, 4 inch blade (3 1/2" sharp), .180" thick at the ricasso
African Blackwood handle with carving and texturing
Bronze guard with bronze and black g-10 accents
Bronze and black g-10 accent in handle

Man, do I ever like the dark look of this piece, with the etched blade and the lovely carved Blackwood handle. The unusually-placed rearmost bronze / G10 accent really sets the piece off. Bravo.

The black and the bronze go very well together on this little knife you keep pushing up the level of your work with each knife it is fun to watch.

That is a beautiful creation!!! Everything comes together fantstically in that package! Did you also make a sheath for it? Given the handle, I think there are some really creative things you can do with the sheath.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

I too like the dark overall tones with the brighter highlights of the bronze.

The knife is 1/2" thick at the guard and widens to about 3/4" at the butt end.

I carried the pattern of the carving/ texturing over onto the face of the sheath and dyed the whole thing dark brown to match the handle. I should have included a picture but this is already on it's way to the new owner.

Thanks again for the comments.
