This just came to me as I sat around doodling one night and looked fun.

Spike is forged 4 inch 5160 steel spiked blade with a caved face of a bird(Hawk

, I tried

). overall head length is 5 3/4 inches

Handle is maple with the wings and tail of a bird (Hawk

).
handle length is 18 inches

WOW - Beautiful job. At first glance I thought eagle - hawk works, too.

The curly maple handle is beautiful - that stain gives it a really rich color - what shade & brand is that?

Thanks, Brand is Laural mountain forge, all the feather area is stained maple and the rest of the handle is stained walnut
